we can now offer you the latest aids to periodontal treatment – Periochips^® and Doxycycline.

Periochips^® are the proven long term bactericidal maintenance therapy that will reduce pocket depths over a nine to twelve month period, when placed in deeper pockets every three months.

Doxycycline is an antibiotic given over a long period of time in a tenth of the normal dose, it has been shown to prevent the bacteria on plaque from producing enzymes which break down the gums attachment to the teeth. This is only usually used in patients where all other methods of controlling gum disease have failed.
